Areas of Practice

As one pursues the affairs of daily life, he or she can suffer serious or fatal injury due to the negligent actions of others. As they and their families work to recover physically and emotionally from the traumatic event, we provide counsel and assistance to insure that those responsible for the injury or death are held accountable, and that appropriate compensation is obtained through settlement or verdict.

wills/estate administration

Estate administration is the process by which to insure that one's wishes are followed after his or her death, and that the rights of the beneficiaries are protected. Where one has died leaving only a will, and his or her estate is subject to probate, We provide counsel and assistance to the deceased's representative in appropriately managing and administering the estate.

It is said that you should always "hope for the best, and be ready for the worst". With many business relationships, however, only half of that statement is true. Agreements are reached and documents signed with a spirit of optimism, but when the relationship later sours, the parties often discover that litigation is the only means by which to achieve an orderly break-up. Sound legal counsel and assistance is paramount, which we provide.

ESTATE PLANNING/living trusts

Many clients seek legal advice with the specific intention of avoiding the probate process after their death. We provide counsel and assistance regarding the planning necessary to achieve this goal, including the creation and proper funding of a revocable grantor trust. We also provide legal counsel and assistance to the trustee in interpreting the terms of the trust and fulfilling all of their responsibilities as trustee.

For many of us, buying a home is the most significant financial transaction we will ever engage in. we provide counsel and assistance in reviewing the contract, making necessary modifications and monitoring performance issues through the closing. Clients buying real estate for investment purposes often require counsel regarding asset management strategies, and we provide these services.
